Huzzah!!

I love that movie. (those movies?) And all the little clips are making me miss it. Miss a movie? hurhur~ Maybe I'm homesick for middle earth. ^^

Damn oscars. Where are orlando and the dwarf guy, though? Hmm. Conspicously absent.

Ian Mckellen, btw, is very, very cool. Saw him on Maher friday night, and he was very learned and smart and awesome. You can see why he was Gandalf. ^^; He's officially my favorite holiwood type now. ^^v

Ah, the Itchy Feet. Nothing like Lord of the Rings to set it off. =) I wanna grab my bags right now. But then again, I just hung up some posters.

I can't believe my english prof gave me an 'F' because I didn't center and underline the section titles of my paper proposal. I didn't realise 'make it look like this' meant exactly like that. I mean, it was pretty damned close.

And then, because she foound out I was an art major: "You're an artist, right? You should be able to see that this looks nothing like *waves handout example* this."

But it was close, really, really close. Just without centered and underlined titles. Oh, and missing a blank sheet after the title page, but what a waste of paper that seemed like. XD

Harsh, man. And anyway, fat-headed aspirations don't necessarily mean I'm an artist or that I'm arrogant enough to call myself that. I just took the major with the least amount of essays and math. Because wouldn't you rather be messing with paint?

It's sad. I'm starting to enjoy the fanfic advice columns more than I do actual fanfics. ^^;

Wandered into this one via links that started on the anime writer's ML. (which I may or may not have already linked from the scattering's links page)

It's very good. Fun to read and all that. Go take a look. Read some of it, even. XD (um . . . I erased the addy to her link when I C&P-ed it here, assumeing the cropped version would take you to her mainpage. It doesn't it takes you to her blog. this is the joy (squeeee!)

Finally finished my silk screen today. Yippeh!

The last layer didn't come out so good, and I blame the runnyness of the blue paint and my consequent over caution, and also my anal-retentiveness in lining stuff up, which caused my screen to dry while I was taking twenty minuted to try and get rid of a hairline mis-registration of the previous layer.

And then everything misregistered anyway, because stuff moves when you put the screen down. And dried paint blocks spotty sections out.

So really all my nit-picking, fine-brush, squinty-eyed work was pointless.

But I'm done. Finally done.

Now onto the next project, since this one was overdue. -.-'

No one whose sites I frequent have updated with anything interesting/useful in ages. ^^; I guess I haven't either. Huzzah, lazy people!!

So, GI has ditched the yaoi/yuri forum? T.T Why? What the hell? *kick GI* Damn it. Next update, I'm erasing this site off my links list. Consider this a note to self. ><'

And hey, while I'm the topic of yaoi/yuri things, is it true Elex isn't publishing the last vol of Ghost? ^^ Now that seems just a little bit tanggung, don't you think?

Tanggung, by the way, is when you've done something so far, you might as well go the whole hog. Ie: When you eat a bag of potato chips, and want to stop, but theres only three chips left in the bag . It's tanggung, so you eat the last three as well. In this case, Elex has published three out of four of the shounen-ai (yaoi?) series Ghost, and rumor says they're not publishing the last. See? Tanggung.

Have spent the night replying to very stupid, very idiotic thread replies on GI. My reply is almost three word pages long. O.o But thats okay. There was a lot of stupidity to reply to.

In other news:

Are we going to do doujin talks in the guestbook? *point down* Make sure to use this one and not the the site one. (Thats geocities, anak2 XD) Use this blog one, until we think of something better.

Spent saturday making banners of all series and sizes for the scattering and plinked away at an original fic, watched the first four episodes of Kino no Tabi, which were as good as expected, with an even better opeing theme, then read old stuff I had on file till about 6 am, when I went to bed. Hohoho~

Old stuff is embarassing to read. Old fanfics are worse.

This is a dumb entry, written for the sole reason of having a new entry. I'm really all entry-ed out after than GI reply. ^^

New banners will go up as soon as I've written/drawn something new. Am also re-html-ing my fics, because word's "save as html" screws em up, and changes the link colors. >.>

bah! wheres the spring?

It's bucketing down again. I hope school will be closed tomorrow, but I doubt it will be. -.- Damn campus. The road up my hill is all ice again. Once more, barely made it home. XD

A week till spring, but apparently nature doesn't know it. Ptooi!

Read over my original fic, and realised that thigns that seem brilliant when written at four AM . . . really aren't. ^^; In fact, it doesn't even make much sense. Or any, for that matter.

Ugh.

I've been reading slash for inspiration. XP And not just any slash, but old BBC brit-drama slash. Slash is so much better if you don't know how the chrachters look, or what the actual premise of the story is. I can't even care if they're ooc, because I can't know when they are! Yippeh!

They tend to be written by an older crowd than the yaoi fics, (gundam wing . . . *shudder*) but the problem with that is they're intent on selling you "'zines". Dammit! I get the feeling theres a lot of fic out there, but it's all printed media hard copies that you have to order, pay for, wait for.

Blah. I want my instant gratification. And anyway, I bet theres pics in them "zines" and i'm steering clear of pics. Knowing what a character's actor looks like spoils it. ^^

Right now mucking through Magnificient 7 slash. (hmmm . . . cowboys d^^b!!!) and Blake's 7 slash. (British Sci-fi something.) Soon I bet I'll find pics and find out they all look weird and 70s like. -.- Really, the less I know about the original series, the better the fics seem.

I shudder to think what old BBC sci-fi fighter pilots look like. I wonder if they look like Lister from Red Dwarf? No, no, don't tell me. Gawd, especially if they look like Lister. *Ack*

That's the age I turned today.

Its strange, because when I was 18, 19, the vision I had of 22, 23 year old sure as hell didn't look like me now. I have the definite feeling that my age is progressing faster than my rate of maturity.

22 year olds have their own apartments, and jobs that pay more than . . . well, more than mine does, anyway. At least, I had thought they did.

Anyway, the folks called at seven, waking me up, and after talkign to them and hanging up, I turned over and snoozed. Which--along with waiting for a segment on the Early Show (which never showed)--made me late for psych. After which I failed a math quiz. ^^;

day of the eight-bucks-for-this?!

Day of the Dead-->Super rabies?

To be fair, day of the dead was a decent action movie. But really, it could have been a jakarta mob thronging a mall. Turned over, burning vehicles and everything. Hmmm. Flashbacks. ^^;

Nothing very scary about any of it. Well, some creepyness with the child. If you haven't seen you'll see.

I was dissapointed, because my friends had been flogging it like mad as 'disturbing' and 'scary as shit' and it really wasn't. mostly, I was irritated by the bad decision making. For god's sake, people, you're in a mall, theres heaps of shit there to use to send stuff across the yard other than the fucking dog. Jeez.

Anyway, I just got back from seeing that and even Jelangkung was scarier. But yeah, shit horror movie, decent thriller.

I'm supposed to be doing online bio. Somehow that always means long blog entries. ;P

Mucked through Borders to pick up random shoujo manga. XP Oh, knock it off, I've read all the shounen ones they have ages ago, in Jak. All but Shaman King, which I'm not really interested in.

They've published 'ghost' here as 'eerie queerie' *facepalm*. Why, god, why? What the hell is wrong with 'ghost'? If theres copyright trouble, they could at least make up a name that doesn't sound so, you know, dumb. Another reason why I prefer my manga translations Indo. We at least don't fuck things up too randomly. Although ghost's kiss-censors were a bit odd. Starbursts? Really? Damn! XD It almsot makes it worse than just showing the kiss in the first place.

nina: welcome back, nin. Lama ngga keliatan. :D thanks for the smlt ultah. XD My job? hehehe. Ngga kok. Nothing too glamorous. I clean up the art studios. Carry easels around. Scrub tables.
