Sooooooooo tired *whines*

Every time I intened to to bio, I end up staring blankly at shit and blogging pointless blog entries like this one. Sleep. Need sleep. good god, man, I can feel my eyes sinking into my head.

I want it to be the weekend. Sebel. Sebel. *huk*

Mashi nina-boboin gwe dunk. XP I almost have the character creation form done. I need a name, though. Oh hell, I admit it, the only things I have are hair color and length (dark brown, short, but not *real* short. The length you barely get away with in SMA before they haul you away and hack it off.) and eye color (gray. I wanted green, but changed my mind. Anyway, I think Mashi had green.)

Thats all I have. Someone help me. T.T C'mon, I need a peek at everyone else's forms. One peek? For, like, inspiration. XD

Oh, and for height and weight I had 'normal'. XP

So tired. Need sleep. Made ugly stuff using the textiles class stuff. I'm not even in that class. XP I just work while they're in there. Wasting their fixer and sytheropol. Oit! Nicked fabric, too. My hands are dyed green, but it was fun. All the older ladies in that class giving me advice. "Use a syrenge and spray it like *this*" "Let it dry before you move it." "Chemical water will . . . ." "Want more turqoise?" " . . . fixer . . ." " . . . salt . . . " " . . . sponge brush . . ."

B: Whos making this thing, me or you guys?
Ksan: Hey, who ate the last piece of apel cake?
B: dumdumdumdumdum Pass the green, would you?

B: sshh!!

Did I mention they always have snacks in that class? Last week they had cofee cake. Before that: muffinfs. I love mopping up in that class!! Huzzah!

Am back. This weekend: net-nerd mode. Uh, w00t!

Have been meaning to write some manner of original fiction for oh, ages now. But whatever. Lazyness usually wins out with me, and once I start watching movies on TV, thats it for productivity.

Anyway.

There was something I was going to say. Damn.

Oh: note to self: update damn links section of thescattering.

Even though nina says people with blogs should rajin curhat, I always come here with a lot to say, then either get way off topic or forget what it was, or open with something that makes it impossible to get to whatever it was I meant to say.

So this is a blog entry about not having good entries. Yeah. Most of you people ignore me anyway. And those of you that don't probably should. XP

Here's the problem with Indonesian music: Indonesians, Jakartans especially, are really quick to throw things away. Dissagree if you want, but you know it's true. XP (First one to say 'I'm glad I'm american' or somesuch, consider yourself kicked in the head. Don't even get me started. ^^;; )

Anyway, back to topic:

Music in Jakarta never lasts long before it's "kuno" or old-fanshioned. For example, when I was in SMP, Dewa's Kirana was big. Never played anywhere anymore, while US radios still play songs from those years, and later. Indonesian radio only plays the shiny sparkly new stuff. You'd never see a 'classic rock' show for Indo-rock.

Inc ase you wondered, this rant sparked by yet another foiled search for the song 'radja' by, I think, 'riff'. I know they spelled raja that way, even if I'm not sure how they spelled riff. Damn it, I remember that being a good song. Gar~ Never hear that on anything anymore, either.

Maybe it's the curse of the the developing country that everything has to be up-to-date-dammit! (first one to say "thank god my country's developed and has time to smell the roses", see above.) no time to linger on anything good, huh? Must move on to newer, shinier! Well, not everything with two years on it is "basi" (stale).

Some things are just good enough to like for longer than the week it happens to be cool and in and etc. (This also to you people mocking the die-hard Kenshin fans. XD ) If you want a basi anime, try Saint Seiya-->the source of many grade school daydreams (B: *daydreams* man, If I just had an armor, I'd whup you).

Zodiac of the whatsis? Indo had Shun dubbed as a girl and was still truer to charachter. Surfer-dude Hyoga makes my skin crawl. So does cool-speaking Hiryuu. Damn you, cartoon network! Kill my childhood why don't you!?

Also the perfect song for that part of Cowboy Bebop where Faye finds where her house used to be, draws out the floor plan of it and her room, and lies down where her bed used to be.

That scene rips my heart out in much the same way. We were talking about it in class and I'd forgotten how fucking great that part was.

But yeah. Geez. Annie Lennox, you just kill me, man. Lotr ending was just painful, much like Faye's house-finding. Goodbye-endings. Does it get any worse?

I am, by the way, the master of goodbye-endings. I just leave. No teary faretheewells for me. XP I don't tell even tell people I'm going anywhere, mostly. One day I just don't show up for class/basketball/hang-out-time and the next day I'm in the US, as far from home as I can get and still be on the planet.

Or australia, which is not quite so far, but may as well be. So you see why home-themed stuff kills me. And why I can't help but blast this damn lonely, wanderer's song into my ears as loud as my compie can get it.

Into the West, indeed.

One day I'll go home for good. One day I'll stop. One day I'll be able to say where I'll be this time next year with certainty and actually be there when the time comes around. And you know? As appealling as that sounds to me while I'm listening to heartache songs and feeling homesick, it also scares the living crap out of me, because at the moment I can't imagine being . . . static.

This is what happens to mongrel children who grow up between. We're travel junkies. XP

This blog is named so for a reason, you know. Even if I end up in antarctica or Utah I imagine I'll still be able to blog. ^^; Or maybe, one day, I just won't show up here, either. XP

Master of goodbye-endings, I admit I abandon friends with little thought. And then, late at night, I dig up photos and just fucking die of lonesomeness.

starlight

Theres a big 'coon huntin' moon up tonight. Maybe just waning a touch since yesterday and out here, in the boonies, you can stare up and up and up and up on a cold night like tonight because for some reason the cold makes everything brighter, sharper.

I envy Treasure Planet its sky-faring ships. I envy sailors their boats, and cowboys their Wide Open Spaces. I envy astronauts their ability to go further than anyone else, and see what very few others have seen for themselves.

Does earth have earthlight? Is it blue or silver like moonlight? Are there more stars up there than we could ever see from down here? Is looking down on earth from a satelite anything at all like looking up at the moon, fishing off the back of a boat just off shore enough to feel like theres nothing around you for ever and ever?

old time

My dad just turned seventy. Scary thought, considering his oldest kid is only 23. Most of his colleagues have grankids our age. Hell, some of them think we are his grankids, when we randomly run into them in random places throughout Jak. >.>

Mom says he's improving his lifestyle in regards to fatty foods and such. You know, in keeping with the big seven-oh. He creeps me out because he says things like, 'eat good, die happy, bwahahahah~'. And he doesn't mean good as in healthy either. Oh, and things like "I have kanker"

everyone: *shocked silence*
dad: "kantong kering bwahahahah~" (direct translation: dry pockets. ie: broke)
dad: what? its funny!
everyone: Geez.

I'm kind of mad at the folks for getting old. ^^;; At dad particularly for thinking old age is a trip, and a joke and not realising that maybe we'd like him around when we're forty. Or at least till me an him can get on and make up and stuff.

Which at this point seems like it'll require a few more years of growing up on both our parts. ^^;;

happy easter!!!

This is the first easter I haven't colored eggs. I just forgot about it being tomorrow until about 8 o'clock tonight and by then the corner mart we shop at had closed, and the next closest (open) shop would be a good twenty minutes away. And I was lazy.

Might nip out early tommorow to get things. Not that we don't have eggs in the fridge. They've just been there a while and I don't trust them. How long do refrigerated eggs last?

And then, when I took my dog out, we made the unfortunate mistake of chasing a rabbit. O.o Oops.

B: Look! Go get 'im! Go get 'im!! Good doggeh!!
B: *lightbulb* O.o
B: Stop! Stop! Don't chase the easter bunny, damn it!!!

deadwood--sundays at ten (spoilers)

on HBO. XD

It has me hooked. Not quite to the level that Carnivale had me, but then, one must take what one gets and with deadwood, I'm certainly not complaining.

Oh, hell. I may as well admit I had little interest in it after the pilot (which I payed little attention to, online as I was) and it wasn't until this week's replay of last sunday's episode that I decided to be a fan.

Because those guys who run the hardware store are kind of cool lookin'. ^.~* And Wild Bill Hickock was neat, even if they just killed him off, those bastards! Even if he let that stupid lady with the feather in her hat hang around him.

Grr~ I hope they kill her off next, if only because she's so goddamn annoying. Her and the blonde prostitute with the gun down her blouse. Really, Alma's the only un-irritating lady in that show so far.

Anyway. Everyone cusses way too much to be believeable, even if they were all potty-mouthed back then. "Cocksucker" seems to be the explitive of choice, "Fuckin Cocksucker" for added emphasis. And when the feathered-hat-lady (jane?) says it it's just kind of sad and pathetic. Such a try-hard. ^^; I wish someone would shoot her already. ><"

I notice that the hardware store guys rarely cuss at all. And for all their walking softly, you know they've got the biggest sticks now that Hickock's died a pointless, brutal death. >.> I get a kick out of the fact they run a clean hardware and aren't some clihe coolness like assasins or bounty hunters or some such.

And anyway, they're cool lookin'. XP

animanga-->animal manga XD

ey, I'm sucker for dog stories, too. ^^ An unashamed consumer of cutesy-dog-manga. That excludes things like Ginga Legend, btw. Things like Shibao, and Wau Wau Wata.

In fact wau wau's Wata looks a lot like my dog, which is why I love that manga. Except maybe my dog's a bit dumber that old timer Wata, who's given is age is fifteen. ^^v *apal*

Wata's a better manga than Shibao, in my opinion. The animal drawings are a lot stronger, and the--somewhat far-fetched (no pun intended)--story is far more amusing and has a lot continuity, while Shibao is one cute moment to the next, with no real plot or development.

For rabbit manga, I'd recommned Sentaro (that bunny cracks me up!) and for horse manga, all I know is Syphid, which is great if you enjoy creepyly human muscle structure on horses. >.>

This is getting to be a habit. ^^; I have class in the morning, damn it.

And no garage appointment till two. I might have to 'nekad ajah' it and I think it'll be ok to drive, but I'm not sure. If you never hear from me again, it might mean things went . . . askew. XD

Or it means I didn't have time to blog before my class trip to NYC, and I'll be back by late Sunday or sometime Monday.

This trip is supposed to be an art class, but really the only thing thats only my 'got to see list' (other than the statue of liberty, of course) is the the naked cowboy, who's really not so much a naked cowboy as a naked guy in a cowboy hat. XP With a guitar.

No naked cowboy till we were on the way home. Got a glimpse from the bus window, but by the time the kids had their cameras out we'd passed. Didn't get to buy a Statue of Liberty lighter either.
