Because I use a lot of Indo on this mostly English site, here's some lingo for the uninitiated:abang=big brother
ade/adek=younger sibling (gender neutral)
bete/bt=a negative emotion, usually irritation or a bad mood
cewe/ce=slang for girls
cowo/co=slang for boys
ja'im (jaga imej/image)=guarding your social image
kakak (pronounced kaka')=older sibling (gender neutral, or female, depending)
--kak (ka')=honorific for older siblings or 'sempai'
kuliah/kul=college
gwe (sometimes gw, gue)=slang for I or me
SD=elementary school
SK (sometimes es-ka; setia kawan): solidarity, loyalty (among friends) skul=school
SMA=high school
SMP=middle school
TK=kindergarten
wa=slang for I, me (same as 'gwe')
what are all those 2s? this is shorthand for a 'kata ulang' or repeated word. ngakak2 is read ngakak-ngakak= laughing very hard
any words that need to be added?

Still not dead. New cp still sucks
I've been writing posts, but posting them elsewhere because Tabulas's new cp still sucks. I don't know why they had to get rid of the plain text editor. I just don't know. I can't stand it.
Anyway, I'll probably do a massive catch-up post at some time. Or more likely a series of them, since tabs has word per post limit.
I'd hate to abandon tabulas, since this journal does go so far back for me, but the traffic here is just so not proportional to the amount of effort it takes for me to keep my head from blowing up every time I re-realize that the plain text editor is no more.
(Oh, god, it has auto paragraph spacing. Things just get worse and worse.)
Basicly, for the sake of friends who can't access larger journaling sites, I'll probably continue to Xpost the way I have been. But honestly, the traffic and community just isn't there on Tabulas, and a lot of what I get here can be pretty vexing.
Or in tagalog.
But I DO like the journal system better here--if we don't consider the horrific loss of the plain text editor.
And I HAVE been here for a logn time. So, I dunno.
Anyway. Catch-up posts coming soon. Just don't hold your breath.
