Because I use a lot of Indo on this mostly English site, here's some lingo for the uninitiated:abang=big brother
ade/adek=younger sibling (gender neutral)
bete/bt=a negative emotion, usually irritation or a bad mood
cewe/ce=slang for girls
cowo/co=slang for boys
ja'im (jaga imej/image)=guarding your social image
kakak (pronounced kaka')=older sibling (gender neutral, or female, depending)
--kak (ka')=honorific for older siblings or 'sempai'
kuliah/kul=college
gwe (sometimes gw, gue)=slang for I or me
SD=elementary school
SK (sometimes es-ka; setia kawan): solidarity, loyalty (among friends) skul=school
SMA=high school
SMP=middle school
TK=kindergarten
wa=slang for I, me (same as 'gwe')
what are all those 2s? this is shorthand for a 'kata ulang' or repeated word. ngakak2 is read ngakak-ngakak= laughing very hard
any words that need to be added?

Akala ko ba susuportahan mo ako? Sabi mo tutulungan mo ako bat ngayon sobrang kelangan ko ng assistance e halos wala kang ma-i-contribute? Simple lang naman hinihingi ko e. Walk me through it. Just walk me through the whole admissions process, it's that easy. Akala mo ba madali saken ang mag-apply for admissions dito sa Canada? Halos dumugo ilong ko sa kababasa ng admission info ng Ryerson U at George Brown e! Kaya nga I'm asking for your help. Yun na nga lang hinihingi ko sa'yo. Tulong lang para naman mabawasan ang anxiety at stress na nararamdaman ko. Subukan mo kaya ilagay ang sarili mo sa kalagayan ko, tignan lang naten.

Acclamations à la vie!
Exhausted and still lethargic despite accumulating almost 10 hours of sleep. It's been a while, a long ass while since I last visited and actually deigned to post an entry here. A lot has happened. Well, to be perfectly honest a lot has changed. Today marks my first day in Canada exactly a year ago. Oh yeah, time flies by. Pretty fast if you ask me but hey, one could only go forward right?
Anyhow, I really don't have anything noteworthy to post, other than I'm sublimely happy, at the present I mean. More like now now. LOL. Lets hope this sunshiny-feeling lasts for a while.
